A historical figure who wrote the characters above the city gate of Jing County (formerly Youzhou). He was the top scorer in the imperial exam during the first year of the Zhaode era and appointed to the Ministry of Rites. He was frail, resigned three times, and returned to Jing County to open an academy. He is considered the most impressive figure the area has had in decades. Chen Fu's eldest brother spent his whole life trying to catch up to him and died halfway.
