The elderly village head of Mu Family Stockade, a relatively well-off small landowner who controls farmland and has tenant farmers. He was appointed by local county authorities. Mu Quan is responsible for organizing agricultural production, tax collection, and dealing with bandits. He has three sons; his eldest two were conscripted and died at Tianmen Pass fighting the Jin. His youngest son Mu An was exempted from military service under Great Zhou law because he was the only son remaining. Mu Quan is grateful to Qin Ming for saving the village from the bear menace and hosts a feast in his honor.
