Qin Ming's father
The father of the original Qin Ming, a former military soldier who served in the army of Great Zhou. During a battle, he shot and killed an enemy centurion, earning significant military merit. Although most of the reward money was embezzled by his superiors, he was allowed to keep the powerful two-shi horn bow and bring it home after the war. He later participated in an official bear-hunting expedition organized by local authorities, where he managed to shoot through a bear's left eye at close range but was struck by the bear's paw. He lingered for three days and two nights before succumbing to his injuries.
