Dong Yun's mother-in-law, a widow who raised two sons and a daughter on her own. She dislikes Dong Yun, suspecting she is a fox spirit who caused her son Zeng Dayou's death. She constantly scolds Dong Yun but has restrained herself somewhat after realizing scolding won't drive her away. She manages household affairs while her scholar son Zeng Guangjin studies at the county school.
