Marquis of Oppressé is a traditional monarchist noble with strong influence in Travis, stronger than Marquis of Heslow. He has long wished for the prince's return to the system and protected the late empress Eloise as her only shield during her lifetime. He questioned the current emperor's background and lineage even before the emperor's ascension. Orchen suggests the prince ally with him through marriage to the Marquis's daughter, but the prince rejects this plan.
