Loras is the Crown Prince, son of Emperor Alec and Empress Afrosa. He is young, around seven years old, and has a physical disability described as 'incomplete.' He is affectionate towards his mother and tries to make her happy by performing silly dances or rolling around like a clown. He is married to Julianna, but the marriage is unconsummated due to his condition. He deeply misses his wife and wants to see her. He sneaks into the conservatory to make a flower crown for his mother.
