A wealthy villager about the same age as Xiang Dagen. He looked down on Dagen in the past but now acts arrogantly because his son passed the imperial exam. He mocks Xiang Dagen for carrying the burden of military service while his younger brothers live comfortably. He has undisguised contempt for the raggedly dressed children.
