Lin Nanxiang
Lin Nanxiang is the protagonist of the story, a skilled surgeon who worked a twenty-six-hour consecutive surgery before transmigrating into the body of another woman with the same name. After waking up to find herself being assaulted by a man in the woods, she fought back, knocked him unconscious, and stripped him naked before kicking him down a slope. She discovered that she had transmigrated into the body of an eighteen-year-old girl who had been pampered by the Lin family in the city before learning she was not their biological daughter. The original host was forced to return to the countryside as an educated youth after her adoptive mother tricked her into replacing the Lin family's son, Lin Xiangdong. Upon transmigration, Lin Nanxiang found herself engaged to Zhou Yu, a former officer who had been sent down to the countryside after an accident left him with a lame leg. She cleverly deflected accusations of hooliganism by claiming she and Zhou Yu were dating and planning to marry, then moved into his cowshed. As a doctor, she is resourceful, decisive, and unafraid to take charge of difficult situations. She adapted quickly to rural life, tidying the cowshed, foraging for wild vegetables, and preparing to cook. Her background in surgery and her calm under pressure set her apart from the original host, who was weak and spoiled.
