Female protagonist. Died from AIDS complications on February 4, 1996 at a sanatorium in Beijing. She had been married to Jiang Yubai for years but could not conceive due to a cold womb and poor blood circulation. She raised Jiang Chen as her own adopted son with great devotion, even giving up all assets during divorce to keep custody. In her final moments, she was betrayed by her husband, adopted son, and Jiang Yuning who revealed Jiang Chen was actually the illegitimate child of Jiang Yubai and Jiang Yuning. She was poisoned with infected blood by Jiang Chen on Yubai's orders and contracted AIDS. She then reborn back to February 4, 1976, twenty years in the past, with all her memories intact, and begins to uncover the conspiracy against her.
