An orphan who once begged and stole on the streets. Taken in by Jiang Rao's father at age six, he became a servant in the Jiang household. He is alert and resourceful due to his childhood survival experiences. He tails Wang Zhou, overhears his confession about embezzling sixteen taels, and replaces the silver with stones as instructed by Jiang Rao.
