The protagonist, a 30-year-old president of a multinational corporation who died in a car accident and transmigrated into the body of a thug with the same name in the Xia Dynasty. The original Gu Linchen was born into a poor family, was pampered as a baby after an itinerant monk predicted he would become a great general, but grew up to be a troublemaker who stole, hung out with bad friends, and was expelled from school at sixteen. He married a Ger named Feng Ge'er from Qiu Jia Village for six hundred wen and had a son named Xige'er. The original owner was abusive, often beating both his husband and child, and eventually died from a head injury and persistent high fever after causing trouble. Gu Linchen, the transmigrator, is kind, polite, and determined to make up for the original owner's mistakes and support his new family.
