Elsen is the third son of Count Maiel (also referred to as Count Miel). He has kind green eyes and is 22 years old. His mother was also a courtesan, making him share a similar background with Ruth. He is stationed in the 4th Division as an ordinary knight. Elsen has been in love with Erita Jenin since childhood and joined the knightly order of a rival faction specifically to be eligible to marry her. He plans to propose once he reaches the rank of captain due to the status gap between them. He is one of Ruth's closest friends and often provides him with encouragement and support.
