A group of eight sturdy men who came to Qin Village as refugees. Qin Ming helped them obtain legal identities, secured their registration with authorities, and exempted them from taxes and compulsory service. They dropped to their knees in gratitude and were given new clothes made by Fan Niang. They were assigned lighter tasks and helped build a watchtower.
