I'm not sure why this novel received a low rating, but honestly, it's an incredibly hilarious and delightful read. Unlike the usual portrayal of a doting dad and a cute, well-behaved daughter, Lu Junhan is a stern yet captivating villain. He doesn't hesitate to scold, discipline, or even physically correct his daughter, Lu Li. But if you were in his shoes, you'd find yourself struggling to handle her too, because Lu Li is a vivacious little girl who can switch from tears to laughter in seconds. Their unique bond is hard to put into words, but I absolutely adore it – I almost wish her mother didn't exist!

Unbeknownst to them, Lu Li had written about a dream where her father was dead and turned into a dog, which made her cry. When Lu Junhan read the story, he initially thought it was touching but then got upset and gave her a gentle scolding.
2. In a hilarious turn of events, Lu Li accidentally consumed wine-infused chocolate and got tipsy. She went on a wild search for her "head," mistaking a small watermelon for it and a larger one for her father's. She accidentally damaged the "father's head" and looked heartbroken, staring at it for a while. Everyone pitied her, assuming she was upset about losing her father's image. Then, she nonchalantly wondered aloud, "Can I eat it?" The whole night, she clung to her "head" and disrupted Lu Junhan until late, prompting him to jokingly text his aunt for an orphanage recommendation.
I much prefer the dynamic between Lu Junhan and Lu Li as father and daughter, rather than the stereotypical genius child and overly doting parent. It's a genuine, comical bond that brings a lot of laughter and charm to the story.
Chapter 12 was particularly unengaging; it epitomized boredom. A significant portion of those twelve chapters revolved around a monotonous conversation about self-assurance at a café, where the protagonist, in a metaphorical sense, indulged in mental self-gratification with the most intellectually limited female character. The same explanation, dumbed down repeatedly, failed to register with her. This gives a glimpse into the novel's disappointing pacing and what's likely to come next. It might appeal to some readers, but personally, those twelve chapters were enough to illustrate the poor rhythm and content quality I anticipated.
Having ventured into the captivating world of "An Untamed: Grandmaster of demonic Cultivation," I must say it's a thrilling and immersive read. The narrative weaves an intricate tapestry of power, mysticism, and unexpected alliances, leaving me hooked from the very first page. The protagonist's journey from humble beginnings to becoming a formidable demon cultivator is both inspiring and exhilarating. The author's knack for creating compelling characters and intense plot twists keeps me eagerly turning the pages. Overall, this novel is a rollercoaster of emotions and a testament to the boundless potential of imagination. Highly recommended for fans of fantasy and adventure!
Ironically, they created a television series (Chum chun gei) based on this novel, but as it was adapted the idea from the beginning was "not to change anything in the story", so it was probably less disappointing than the novel.

I'm on chapter 55, and this is one of the most boring things ever. There's nothing going on except for the MC very, very, very, very slowly learning how to do things in the military and constantly being compared to his older brother.

Here is a quic breakdown for readers wanting to take this novel on. There are some good parts and bad parts, sometimes you might need to push through chapters. It is a good read though and I would recommend it. Not the top like LOTM or those novels, but a good read to waist time.

I very much appreciate the simplicity of the writing. Especially dialogue between characters. It’s not too fleshed out or too bare. And it’s pretty nice to the eyes. Especially the mc who is actually cool, and not generic for once.
Only 14 chapters so far and we are still being introduced to the MC to what makes him, Well "him". Pacing is good, motives are somewhat clear but how can know 'everything' about another even our MC. This leaves things open for amazing, and maybe sometimes, stupid actions instead of a cookie cutter hero/anti-hero type. Give it a read to see if you agree or not.
