Shameless of webnovel is beyond hopeless
This is the most ridiculous story I have ever read. Not a single silver lining whatsoever.
The story has very interesting beginning. It keeps the reader always curious what is going to happen next. It gives a realistic vibes too. I recommend it to every one.
THIS NOVEL IS....It's really faakin same as like My Wife is a Beautiful CEO. Hot Police, PR / Sales Department, Cold wife, the MC is merchenary boss, MC wife is a CEO and the MC work at her corporation, , etc etc etc....And I don't know want to laugh or cry when i read and there is a FAAKIN FATTY GUY WHO APPLY FOR JOB WITH MC and asking the same question like in My wife is a beautiful CEO :'V HA HA ha ha h a h a.....But this novel is worse than My Wife is Beautiful CEO in story, characters, and world development.Really dissapointing
Horrible, misunderstandings and conflicts that can be solved with just a sentence or a call is stretched out to 3-6 chapters.MC says that he's realized the importance of power, yet he doesn't actively do something to acquire it even though he has a cheat that can insta-learn everything with just a glance(in some ways it's more OP than LOHP). He doesn't surf the web for useful manuals i.e programming, other language, martial arts..etc. those things he can master in just 10 minutes but he doesn't seem to want them.MC hesitates to join an organization that equals the military even though he says power is important.People annoys him and wants to/tries to kill him yet he just leaves them with either a swollen face or at worst a broken arms or legs.He says he doesn't want the limelight and doesn't want to show off, but his actions are everything but.Spolier: A perverted martial instructor was assigned to their class and was very unreasonable, feeling the girls and beating the guys with the slightest bit of disagreement. MC could have this instructor replaced and punished with just a call cuz he's a benefactor of someone higher in the organization but nooooo.MC decided to challenge him to a duel, even though he doesn't want the limelight, doesn't want to show off. After he beat the instructor, comes the instructor's older brother, MC still decided to beat the guy even though he doesn't want the LIMELIGHT.With his cheat the book could be more interesting, but the author wants his story to be about everything overused and wants nothing to do with originality.Tl;drOp cheat, dumb mc, hypocrite mc, negative IQ villains, typical wuxia, overused tropes.

Does anyone know what's going on?] [Ruan Li replied to Qiu Xiaolin: Don't scare me! What zombies?] This is how people actually talk. Not in polished paragraphs but in fragmented, panicked bursts. The author captures the rhythm of real-time group chat perfectly — the way someone posts a link, someone else replies with "don't scare me," and then the panic spreads like a virus itself. Cai Lan's message is a standout moment of dialogue-driven horror: [Cai Lan: If it really is zombies… we reported our dorm numbers in the announcement group. If the counselor turns into a zombie, will they come find us by dorm and eat us?] The class group instantly falls silent. That's it. One question. No one responds. The horror isn't in what happens — it's in the silence that follows. And the individual character voices are distinct even in text form. Luo Mushi is dramatic and quick to believe. Chen Jianwei is analytical and searches for facts. Duan Minmin is emotional and wants her dad. Ying Ran is calm and practical. You can tell who's speaking without seeing their names. The balcony conversation between Luo Mushi and the girl from Room 617 is also brilliantly sparse: "Hey, do you know what's going on? I saw people talking about zombies in the group. What's happening?" "We're not really sure either." Two lines. That's all it takes. The uncertainty between neighbors, the shared dread, the inability to comfort each other because neither of them knows anything. It's devastating in its simplicity. Even the cooking scene on the balcony has this incredible tonal dissonance — Duan Minmin joking about Room 718 coming with knives while the world outside is ending. The dialogue feels so normal that the abnormality of the situation hits harder.
