This book is sooooo good. You have outdone yourself. All the twists and turns, ughhhh. I love it and everyone else will, too. You deserve your roses, and I hope you get paid your worth. Make this a movie!!!

Okay so let me just say this - Li Mocheng is hands down the most interesting character in this whole family drama. On the surface he's the perfect heir: composed, refined, always in black suits, the kind of guy who could walk into a room and silence everyone without saying a word. But then you see what he does for Wanwan, and it's like the ice cracks. Remember when he climbed that elm tree? His driver was literally screaming at him about being late for an important business meeting, and he just... dropped everything. Changed his suit, got dirty, came back to check on the baby sparrow. And then get this - he missed an assassination attempt at his own meeting because of that detour. The universe was literally trying to tell him something, right? What I love is how the author uses him as a contrast to Li Moying. Both are brothers, both have complex relationships with Wanwan, but they couldn't be more different. Li Moying jumps over her like she's dirt, calls her drool "dirty." Li Mocheng? He gently brushes her cheek, waits patiently when she talks to him, treats her with this quiet tenderness that he shows absolutely no one else. And Li Mobing - oh man, Li Mobing is such a fascinating study in insecurity. He's always trying to one-up his brothers, always performing, always needing to prove something. When he pretends to rush to save Li Mocheng after the shooting, Li Mocheng sees right through it: "Were you going to save me, or watch the show?" That line destroyed him. You can feel the brotherly tension crackling between them. The whole sibling dynamic is just *chef's kiss*. You've got the golden heir, the rebellious third son, the dramatic second son - and this tiny little girl who somehow becomes the emotional center that holds them all together.
This is good.
When i started reading “it started with a hickey” i was hooked right away…the story was brilliant, the writer was superb in thinking every single detail in the book and oh boy! I am so inlove with xander and skye/kiera character…it’s a must to read this book!!!
great story. I would of like another chapter with her throwing the mistress out again.
