i honestly don't understand why this novel is the second in trending ranking. it start good but the development and the interaction is worsening as the story goes.
This story is good the characters are nice the description of each character and the way each character behaves fits the story and because of that the story is unique. I can't wait to see how this story ends

I watched the drama on Netflix and was thoroughly disappointed with the ending, so went in search of the original book. This is a beautiful and well-written translation, and I appreciate the translator’s time and effort in being this novel to life for English readers. To be able to convey the author’s original feeling into a different language is no easy task and I am very impressed with the translation so far. Are you able to tell me how many chapters total? I want to make sure I have enough coins to complete the 3 volumes. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

A bit racism in tha start of the novel with a regular 'dragon country' stuff but those became lesser in the later chapters, but overall it's a decent novel.'Lately the updates are very slow'
The story in the first few chapters was amazing. A traumatized character, a war against powerful aliens, strange powers and a promise of revenge. But after he meets Liiza the focus of the story completely changes. Hundreds of chapters describing the love relationship between Khan and Liiza, made me so bored. I can't read a story that ignores everything else and focuses on the romance between a human and an alien. It's sad, the action and adventure promised in the first chapters was completely in the background. The author should change the name of the story to "MY GIRLFRIEND IS AN ALIEN" It will make more sense to new readers. In short, the story is amazing, the author writes very well, but he focused on the romance. Someone like it, but I just got bored.

I read chapters 20-27 in one sitting and I need to discuss the pacing because the author is a menace. Let me set the tone: this section moves like a freight train dressed in silk. It starts domestic and cozy—lunch, naps, writing fairy tales, scallion pancakes—and you're like 'aww this is so sweet' and then BOOM, human traffickers at a bus stop. The chapter titles alone tell the story. Chapter 8: 'He was the first to be defeated.' That's Yang Xichen losing control, and it's placed right after the restaurant scene where his feelings are confirmed. Chapter 9: 'Outsmarting the Human Traffickers'—sudden genre shift from romance to thriller. Chapter 10: 'Beauty, Power and Tragedy'—and we're just getting started. What I love is how the author uses small moments as breathers between tension. The fairy tale writing subplot is perfect—Haitang gets her manuscript accepted, which is a victory beat, but then she misses the meeting because of the trafficker incident. The author is constantly denying her the easy win and giving her a harder one instead. The transition from the restaurant to the car ride home is where the pacing really shines. It's quiet, intimate, and serves as the emotional bridge between the social scene and the next major plot development. Haitang asks about Jiang Ruoni not knowing about Dahuai Village, and Yang Xichen uses this moment to both explain AND manipulate. The car ride is where the real story happens, not the dinner. And then the morning after—scallion pancakes, porridge, the domestic bliss—followed by the manuscript acceptance call, followed by the bus stop. The author doesn't let you settle. Every time you think 'okay, things are calm,' something happens. It's exhausting and I cannot stop reading.
