The pacing in these chapters is absolutely ruthless and I respect it. We go from a playground squabble to two women tearing each other's hair out in like three paragraphs. The author doesn't waste time building tension—she just drops you into the chaos and lets it escalate naturally. The scene at the kindergarten is structured like a pressure cooker: kids fight, parents arrive, insults fly, slaps happen, reputations are destroyed. And then right when you think it can't get worse, the Wang family turns on Little Mud instead of addressing their own daughter's behavior. The transition from the public humiliation at the kindergarten to the private family scapegoating is seamless. What's clever is how the author uses the surveillance footage as a pacing device—it's mentioned early, then revisited when the family can't explain the contradiction, which keeps the reader engaged and questioning. And then Ling Yixi's entrance at the end acts as a perfect cooldown after all that chaos. He's calm, measured, and completely unimpressed by the drama around him. The chapter ends on his approval of Little Mud, which gives the reader a moment of relief after the emotional whiplash. It's like the author knows exactly when to hit you and when to let you breathe.

well this story is unique but admittedly i have only read a couple chapters and it's hard to decide if i like it or not. to sum up what I've read thus far then I can only use the word 'weird'
