Ugh I read to fast this book is amazing ! Now I’m waiting for more chapters I really need to slow down with my reading!
Good story. It seems to have ended in the middle though. Needs closure.

I love this book! The switch in POV between the characters really lets me get into the thoughts and connect with them as I read. I’ve read tons of books but this one is really sticking to me. I feel like I’m a part of the novel! One of my favorite reads!
I cannot stop thinking about the dinner scene. This is what I live for. Li Wu and Fu Yichen are both sitting across from Shu Xian and the entire meal is just two men silently warring over who gets to serve him more food while the other watches like a hawk. Li Wu opens the lunch boxes and pretends he's not hungry just to force Shu Xian to choose — classic green tea energy, and Fu Yichen calls it out immediately. 'There's no audience here for all this acting.' Bro is not having it. Then Li Wu waves the chicken leg in Fu Yichen's face like a trophy and Fu Yichen responds by calling Shu Xian 'my best friend' and serving him vegetables. The gunpowder atmosphere during that meal is so thick you could cut it with a knife, and Shu Xian is just sitting there happily eating because he is genuinely delighted that Fu Yichen called him his best friend. The dramatic irony is killing me. These two are so obviously into him and he's over here going 'hahaha okay okay you eat more too my best friend.' And then later at the opera when Shu Xian falls asleep on Li Wu's shoulder and Li Wu is just… taking it. 'As long as brother is happy, I'm happy.' Sweet, but also kind of painful to watch because you know Li Wu is playing a role and Shu Xian has no idea. The emotional complexity in this book is way deeper than the surface comedy lets on.

I've read teen romance before, but none would stand a chance against this one. It's packed with steamy romance, vital lessons to learn about life, and realness like I've never felt before. I felt every emotion with Gracie and Ben. What a cute couple. And I love love the growth they've had together.

I like the novel. but please don't make it too long like the other novel. wherein the story is not inline with the plot because its too long
