I I can't believe webnovel actually brought this back. Still not enough to give me hope for all the other failed trial read though but a pleasant surprise nonetheless. Hope it actually gets translated to the end and not dropped halfway through like custom made demon king( still get tears remembering this one).
From the beginning of the novel a had a feeling of deja vu like I have already read the scenerios before but the characters didnt add up so I thought, there is a novel I read just recently on this site but similar to this book. Its'Reborn:revenge of the heir'Now I don't know if this is coincidence, similar styles, same author. This novel did hook me more than to other one. But the same underlying core aspects included.Reborn in fetusTwin telepathy Sister getting almost kidnapped and raped in gymThe son taking over a subsidiary of the business and arriving early, the diologue with the receptionist,the ceo thinking hes late,the problem with the secretary, the language 'code red' to describe getting rid of people. It was uncanny how many similarities. So I dont know if this an issue of plagiarism,just know i read this book longer than the other.

Okay so let me just say this chapter is a masterclass in dramatic irony and I am NOT okay. Qing Ni is sitting there pretending to be some immortal Divine Maiden, spinning elaborate tales about the Human Emperor and the Celestial Court, and ALL the while she's just trying to get Qin Shi Huang drunk so she can escape. The layers. The absolute layers. The plot twist within a twist is gorgeous. She deliberately shifts the topic from Human Emperor to King Zhou of Shang as a cover to avoid drinking the sour Qin wine herself. Then she accidentally calls him "Human Emperor" three times, and instead of blowing her cover, she uses it as a compliment — "You are worthy of the title of Human Emperor." GENIUS. She turns a potential slip-up into flattery that plays right into his ego. The First Emperor is so busy being intoxicated by her words (and the erguotou) that he never catches on. And that ending!! The jade cup shatters, he immediately goes into assassination-mode, gripping his sword — and then we're left hanging. What just broke? Who's attacking? The tension is palpable. Also, the System's internal monologue about "drunken indiscretion" while Qing Ni is just trying to survive is comedy gold. The plot never stops moving and every beat serves multiple purposes.
I wish there were more chapters ......
