I want to read this so badly but that annoying female character stops me every time
Overall was a great story, the writing style also nice and not dragging on too much. The only problem I found was the amount of money seems off. I think the translator misunderstood the Chinese counting system, so the amount of money was around ten or hundred times more than it supposed to be.
I've been pondering what exactly captivated me about this novel. The romance aspect is practically non-existent and quite unsatisfactory; it's almost like an afterthought. Initially, the introduction was harsh, yet it effectively established the main character's traits. He's practical and self-centered, but surprisingly grounded compared to many other protagonists I've encountered. Surprisingly, without giving away any spoilers: there are instances where he calls out the female characters for having low self-esteem, effortlessly turning them down before they even get the chance to confess.
While I wouldn't consider this a groundbreaking masterpiece, as a Chinese wuxia novel, this particular beginning has certainly stood out among the ones I've read. I'm hopeful that the rest of the story maintains this strong foundation.
"This is fantastic! Initially, I expected a storyline where the female antagonist bonds with the male lead, but my assumption was completely off! The female lead in this story is incredibly determined to go back to her own world, and she'll stop at nothing to make it happen. She holds steadfastly to the belief that the original female lead (FL) and male lead (ML) should remain as a couple. The male lead finds the female lead intriguing because she's the only one who doesn't have any ulterior motives towards him. There's a fascinating backstory surrounding him, which I'm eagerly anticipating to uncover."
Indeed, this is my all-time favorite novel. The love story unfolds at a leisurely pace, yet it captivates with its exquisite storytelling intricately woven within an exhilarating adventure. The plot is intricately layered, and supporting characters are just as well-developed and profound as the primary leads. There are no clichéd moments; instead, the narrative creates a fully immersive fantasy realm where conventional norms are challenged.
The prose is a work of art, and the translation is top-notch. It's rare to find such a lengthy tale that maintains its strength from beginning to end, without losing momentum or becoming tiresome. Throughout the story, readers remain engaged and never feel disoriented.
As for the intimate scenes, they may proceed at a slower tempo, but when they do occur, they are truly rewarding and emotionally charged, leaving no room for disappointment.
As a father I approve of this novel... Just don't let the waifu know your cheating
She never showed any sexual attraction for the other guy. She closed off her senses when he tried to f*ck her, but he could not enter her at last as MC stopped them. Pls read the full story

I am really enjoying the novel the only problem is the story is a little quick with the pacing but aside from that this is one of my favorite novels.
Love this story and Colton James
