Don't know if anyone else thought so, but this novel was extremely boring. First 3 or 4 chaps were all info dumps and didn't create any suspense at all. More of a chore than a leisure to read this novel. Author uses phrases that readers might not know, some of which even I don't know even after reading 100s of novels. Like wtf is breath of tongtian? What are all these weird cultivation stages? Author are you ok? Furthermore, translation is very subpar and it gets noticable after a while. Sad thar I voted for thus novel to get released early for 2 weeks. Also sad that this novels rating js heavily inflated by reviews done when it was still in the What's Next? section.

This was difficult to read. The story felt bland and lifeless. It was generic, cliche and poorly done. The characters are so one dimensional that it was a waste of time giving them names. I didn't find a single redeeming feature for me to continue reading.Inb4 5 star bots.
This novel started great. First 100 or so chapters, it really pulled me in. But after the Endless Sea arc starts, everything starts going downhill. Still, i kept reading hoping that it would get better, yet after mc reaches the Yang family, it just gets worse and worse. After that i could only keep up to chapter 322 which i just couldn't take it anymore. Author just keeps destroying or changing the characters personality to fit the immediate nerrative. They flip around all the time including mc. Author also destroys his worlds rules all the time. He sets a rule, then comes a person who not only break those previously set rules, he practically sh*ts on them. Mc's ruthlessness that we have seen at the start is nowhere to be found anymore. Harem, or if i can even call it that, got too annoying. Mc is like a lover boy going after a single girl, but he is also lusting after others at the same time, yet taking no action whatsoever. They serve no purpose and honestly characters are just so bland. This novel is indeed very bland and quite honestly really annoying to read. I was expecting something good, then it turned into something avarage and lastly it just turned into a chore to read. Sad really, feels like author got lost very quickly. This novel had alot of potential, very unfortunate that author couldn't follow up...

I've been reading light novels and web novels for about a year now, but I only started using Webnovel site/app around 3 months ago. I used it to read fanfictions because I got tired with the "young master" stories, but I accidentally came across this novel 2 months ago and fell in love with it. I loved reading this novel so much, I just recently realized I haven't even rated it yet. This is, with all honesty, my favorite novel here. It's not as deep as the typical novels I read, the world background is not as complex, yet the simple and steadfast plot of the story satiates my hunger for novels. Thank you, Author. You deserve more credit.
I think this is a book worth reading. It's consistent, has character growth with well defined personalities, and makes you anxious to read the next chapter just to find out what happens next. I also like how the author takes his time to gradually build the harem. It's not a rushed story and a lot of thought is put into it.The MC really needs to start taking charge of his secretary however and add her. He's a dunce when it comes to women but he's a take charge guy who does what needs to be done for the betterment of all. His stupidity when it comes to women is a bit out of place as a high profile CEO. CEOs should be good in dealing with men and women to have a successful business. This so far, is the only negative I see about the MC. He needs to sleep with his secretary.
