3 new chapters in nearly 3 months.... where's the author? working on a DIFFERENT book. What a disappointment.
Let me just start by saying: I did not sleep after reading this chapter. Not because it was scary, but because the tension was so perfectly calibrated I couldn't look away. The whole Shenjia Village confrontation is a masterclass in escalating stakes. It starts with Old Shen threatening Yang Tiechui — that's personal. Then Yang Jiujin refuses to haul sugarcane, which raises the economic stakes. Then the village chief brings up Factory Director Ao, which introduces the institutional threat. And then Yang Tiehua whispers to her brother: "attack that fat man. When he fights back, don't dodge. Take the hit and fall." That moment is where everything shifts. She's no longer just reacting — she's orchestrating. She's turning a brawl into a trap. And the beautiful thing is that the fat man barely touches them and they still go down like they've been shot. The villagers from Shenjia Village are the ones who look like aggressors while Yang Jiujin's family looks like victims. It's manipulation at its finest, and the author makes you root for it completely. But then — and this is the part that made my heart stop — Yang Tiehua feels a warm sensation and sees blood. REAL blood. Not fake. Not staged. She's convinced she's miscarried. The stakes just went from legal trouble to actual life-and-death in one sentence. And then Fu Ziheng's line: "I am infertile." Which means even if she WAS pregnant, it couldn't have been his. Unless— No. No, she had twins. Twins that looked exactly like him. So either he's lying about being infertile, or something else is going on that I don't understand yet. The author just stacked three separate mysteries on top of each other in the span of ten pages and I am not okay with this. The conflict isn't just external anymore — it's internal, it's personal, it's about trust and truth and whether anyone in this family is being honest with anyone else. And I need the next chapter immediately.

i love this story. This author is awesome and her stories will never bored you. they are full of drama comedies and heartfelt stories. i don't know how she do it but is a good mixture of everything.
This author’s stories are worth every penny.
It’s a little tooo dark for me. I have read it till chapter 34 and don’t think I can take it anymore. Good luck to whoever finishes it.
