The Xuandi Guan scene is one of those moments where the setting does so much heavy lifting. Gu Ruanci is sitting there, having settled Ye Hesheng's memorial tablet, casually sipping Phoenix Dan Cong tea—the kind reserved for the imperial family—while chatting with Qingtuan Daozhang like she owns the place. And honestly? She does, in a way. The temple has become her space, her fortress, her home away from the toxicity of the Zhou household. The author paints this picture of a place where "the departed, freed from suffering, surely wish for your happiness" and then immediately undercuts it with Zhou Yuxiu bursting in claiming a "thief has fled into Xuandi Guan." The contrast between the serene temple atmosphere and the Zhou family's aggressive intrusion is delicious. I also love the detail about Qingtuan Daozhang being so respected that "even members of the imperial family struggle to get an audience with him"—and yet Gu Ruanci just walks in and chats with him like they're old friends. The worldbuilding here is subtle but effective: you can feel the hierarchy of Dizhou's nobility, the importance of face and status, the way information travels fast among the elite. The Renqin Yan announcement spreading through the city, the nobility dividing into camps about whether Shouguo Gongfu's actions were appropriate—these small details build a living, breathing world. And that final image of Zhou Yuxiu entering the temple, seeing Qingtuan Daozhang looking at him with an "unpertur" expression... the sentence cuts off but the tension is palpable. The author knows exactly how to build atmosphere.

Hello readers author here, if you guys have any suggestions for me to improve the novel please tell me so
Hello great author, I'm a huge fan of your work! Your book left a lasting impression on me, and I believe it has the potential to reach even more readers. I'd be honored to share some thoughts on how to enhance its impact and visibility. Would you be open to hearing my thoughts?
I like it... it'll be nice to have a mentor like you ??
This novel is incredible! The world-building pulls you in completely, the characters’ emotions feel so real, and the dialogue flows naturally. The detailed descriptions make it easy to picture every scene, and you can really feel Calum’s pain and unbreakable determination. I can’t recommend this enough—it’s a must-read!
I finished 10 chapters so quickly… now, I’m sad. The male lead is such an amazing green ecosystem that I need this man in my life. Our poor female lead; I hope she gets revenge on her useless family and fake sister and feeds her worms. Amazing chapters, dear author, but we need more!
Truly a good novel.Different from norms.Worth reading.
holy moli this is good, i read 1 page and i already would sacrafice my newborn for the second page???
The main character is pretty knowledge hungry and is a nice change of pace as he looking for a way to unseal his people instead for revenge, and the secondary main character also is interesting more so than the main character for me, from his backstory in the recent chapters. I can’t wait for more!
i am too attached to the previous version, i don't think i can read this one.
Wow, wow, wow! I have only read the first chapter, but I just couldn't wait to comment on how amazing this story is so far! Out of all the Webnovel stories I've read so far, this is the best one yet. The moment I dived into the story, I was already possessed with amazement by the creative use of words, and the jaw-dropping storyline. The characters are well-portrayed in the first chapter. The reader already gets an idea of what the main characters are like even before jumping into the next chapter. The dialogue between the characters flows naturally, and the pacing of the story is good too. I definitely look forward to seeing what happens next ? keep up the good work, author!
