One of the best books I’ve read if it continues to develope as it has it’ll be an amazing book, you don’t see much of this genre but once it is excuted it creates an amazing storey.

was enjoying the Novel up until the enslavement part , I also know why it happen , just threw me off. kind of lost the "air" the story had with the slice of life and adventure kind of vibe. also not of fan of prophecies , to much drama for me but I enjoy it up until where I read.
Overall it is a good novel, only downside is paying for privileged chapters that is sometimes not published on time and no make up chapters are provided
I thought the main character was an honorable guy but he's an emotional child. He even had someone sexually assaulted because they said his girlfriend might be cheating.
This is one of the best books I've read in all honesty I've read a lot of fantasy books and you know how in each of those stories they already have their own power system and god's and such and how in the past it's hinted that something kick started to change the world to where it's at this point in the story, I've always thought of this book as something similar to the past of a bunch of fantasy worlds in starts with a world changing event and they piece the rules together of the world as the story progresses this is my second time reading this book it's slow at times but great characters ever changing world and filled with action and the characters never stay static for long. this is worth finishing for sure.

Okay so I need to talk about Chen Zhiyi for a second because honestly? The sibling dynamic between these two is everything. While Chen Zhiyuan was out drinking and wasting money with rich kids in town, Chen Zhiyi was over there studying hard, getting praised by his teacher, and still taking the time to come home and tell his sister about his excellent marks in the Three Character Classic. And Chen Zhiwei? She didn't gloat about her successful older brother being a disappointment. She just wiped his face with a cloth and told him to ignore it and focus on his own studies. That's the kind of sister energy I live for. The scene where Chen Zhiyi comes home flushed with excitement, clutching his copybook like it's treasure — "Sis! The teacher praised my handwriting today and said I memorized the Three Character Classic quickly and well!" His eyes sparkled. I literally felt warm inside. This kid started late, had no advantages, but he understood how precious this opportunity was. And then the contrast with Chen Zhiyuan — reeking of alcohol, spending money freely, trying to sabotage Chen Zhiyi on the way home. The author doesn't even need to dramatize it. Just the quiet contrast speaks volumes. And Chen Zhiwei's reaction to her brother being blocked and harassed? She was calm as ever. Not angry, not panicked. Just... already three steps ahead. That's the bond between them — she protects him without making a scene, and he looks up to her without being childish about it. No dramatic confessions of love needed. It's in the small moments. The cloth wiping his face. The nightly guidance sessions. The fact that he came home to tell her about his good grades first. I also can't ignore the subtle family tension with the magistrate conversation. When she asked him to help prevent forced marriage, that was her standing up not just for herself but basically securing her independence so she could keep doing what she does. She's building something, and marriage was being used as a weapon against her autonomy. The fact that the magistrate — a shrewd man — immediately understood the potential family discord and agreed shows how smart she is about navigating these relationships. She didn't beg. She framed it as a practical request and he respected that.
