**Absolutely fun**
I love this a lot author, the best I have read on this app. I'm an author too but you are just too amazing. The way you structure your story is lit, keeps me up all night that I wonder if there's magic in your hands. Kudos author, love you and your book.
Such a great read! Awesome!

Let's talk about Song Zhimian for a second because this girl is absolutely ruthless in the best way. The text keeps describing her as 'calm as ever' and 'not the least bit intimidated' while her father and stepmother are falling apart around her. But what's interesting is the contrast — she's not just smart, she's *patient*. She sat through all of this pretending to be confused about the coffin, playing the role of the timid eldest daughter right up until the moment she didn't need to anymore. The father-daughter dynamic here is absolutely toxic and I mean that in a way that makes the story compelling. Song Kaishan is glancing at her the whole time, wondering if she orchestrated this. And the text literally says: 'how could his eldest daughter, who had always been timid and weak, possibly stir up such trouble?' That's the key — she's been performing weakness her entire life, and now she's dropped the act and everyone is scrambling. The fact that he's still trying to figure out whether this was deliberate or coincidence shows how little he actually knows his own daughter. Madame Ding is the classic stepmother villain but she's given some nice moments of panic. Her reaction to the silver shortfall — 'her head might burst into flames' — is almost cartoonish in its desperation. And then there's Song Zhiqing, the younger sister who storms in all angry but is completely checkmated. Song Zhimian's retort about her dowry is *savage*: 'Given the current state of the marquis's household, it seems unlikely they can produce a particularly generous dowry.' She's not just defending herself, she's systematically dismantling everyone's position. The relationship with Ye Yunshu is intriguing too — there's this unspoken understanding between them. Wen Shaoqing winking at Song Zhimian before leaving, the note about the second grand gift arriving in three days. These two are clearly playing a longer game together.
So interesting! I love this book ...
This was a good story! Some of the wording was a little odd throughout. But other than that, really good story!
Really good story, the writer made updates daily until the book was completed.
I look forward to another book from Lovette
