Jake is many things. Collector of spoons, watcher of late-night television, line cook of Tony's Bar and Grill on 22nd Street --- all these titles and more belong to him.
He is not, however, a hero.
When Jake arrives in a world of magic and monsters, he isn't looking to save the day or scratch anyone's back. No, he's after as much loot as he can get. And with his new video game powers, it won't be difficult to find. But an evil is creeping across the lands, and it can't be ignored forever. Sooner or later, he'll have to make a decision --- fight or fly.
