The physical proximity, the warmth, the scent, the whispered words—it's so intimate and so charged. And the best part? The narration tells us this moment brought her "to the brink of surrender—almost tipping her over the edge." But she doesn't break. She "calmly turned her face slightly, curling her lips into a knowing smile as she met his eyes." She played along. She didn't give him the reaction he wanted. That's the emotional core of this whole thing. It's not just about attraction—it's about power. Who gets flustered first? Who blinks? Who shows their hand? And then there's the lingering detail at the end of that scene: "That fleeting chill imprinted on her skin had already taken root in her heart like a seed of recklessness." A seed. Planted. Watered. This is how these stories start—the small moments that seem insignificant in the moment but become the foundation for everything that follows. I like it but it feels slow. I like the background talking about the killings. The characters design could be talked about more, and update a little bit more frequently but besides that. I want to know more of the ability’s.
I like the storyline, the farmer MC is interesting and so is what he is going through. The book is great, it could use a bit of improvements, but still a really good book.
