They knew that something was wrong as they felt that the surroundings are slowly being covered in darkness. The sky was turning dark slowly like an evil deity was corrupting it. Every tree was being sapped out of its life, and it was getting dry. All living beings near Aurum was getting their minds encroached with dark thoughts. Slowly, normal humans were losing their vision slowly, and even some of them are demonized.
Sparky and Scar landed on the top of a building. Everything was still the way it was during the last mission they had. Ruins of buildings here and there. The surrounding was surprisingly quiet as well. There were no sign of life since all civilians were evacuated out of the area during Mae's last attack. They had all been moved towards a nearby city where the government had to provide the living needs they need as all were lost during the sudden attack.
An explosion took place.

After that Qiu Yue finally pushed herself up and washed up so as to not let the food get cold.

The story was pretty okay in my humble opinion but for **** sake, what was with that ending!? I spent the past two days chowing down the story because I was hooked by the premise, action and the character interaction but the ending was a major letdown.I want to know what happen to the main character and his wife! >:C Give me more closure, dammit!

Not like female protagonists in other novels that only seek revenge and are poison masters/assassins etc.Novels has a smooth emotional and content feeling to it.It's nice to read. Definitely recommend this novel.

Dropped after around 30 chapters. It's just like, everything about this is so generic, every single character just has a template personality. literally Sadistic fighter, Tough cop, Grumpy teenager, and cute little sister. He can't kill anyone if it's not for money cause then he won't be the ideal assassin his little sister wanted him to be which is just beyond me. It's so stupid and he's not even an assassin anymore as in he's not a pro, he has no 'customers' and it honestly feels like something that's purely meant to increase the word count. MC hardly bothers hiding his abilities, numerous people already know his identity and capabilities and even his gym trainer knows something is weird with him. The cultivation system is nonexistent, there is mana, inner energy, and spells. For some unknown reason, he feels that he should learn how to harness that inner energy although it's apparently less pure than the mana he already uses. TL: DR - Cringe lines, non-existent combat system. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone interested in anything beyond a children's show level of plot.
