Typically, I'm not a fan of slow-burn romances, and I initially thought this one fell into that category due to the extended period before their confession. However, after catching up and finishing the recent chapters, I must say it was incredibly rewarding. The plot twists, particularly the angst surrounding the accident and the revelation of their marriage, were right up my alley – I couldn't get enough of those beloved tropes.
I absolutely adore the chemistry between the main leads, both their cuteness and how well they complement each other. It's heartwarming to witness their connection.
Moreover, I found the ghost characters' individual stories and the past-life aspect captivating. All in all, I just love everything about this series!
I actually enjoy stories where the main character (MC) is overpowered and extraordinary... However, the translation significantly detracts from the experience. Initially, the translations were decent, but as we progress, they've become abysmal, almost as if they were directly copied from Google Translate without any proofreading. The incorrect usage of pronunciation creates numerous misinterpretations, which is quite frustrating.
The series started off strong until Arc 10, when an unusual FSN parody was introduced in an extra volume. Unfortunately, the subsequent time jump led to a decline in quality, leaving the story feeling hollow and the chapters monotonous. Moreover, the main character's age, now around 40-50, doesn't help. The author seems unsure about providing a satisfying conclusion, considering their track record with another series set in the same universe. In short, there isn't much to look forward to after Volume 10; the series would have been better off ending there.
"UPDATE: My apologies, I forgot to mention earlier - The translation quality is quite underwhelming. There are instances where the meaning is unclear and repetitive sentences suggest a lack of proper editing. It can be quite frustrating at times. This review is specifically about the story, not the translation.
The story itself is delightful and light-hearted. Our protagonist is a reincarnated marquis's son, who, like many in the kingdom, focuses solely on combat skills. Unlike others, however, he possesses advanced scientific knowledge from his previous life, allowing him to manipulate materials with magical prowess. This leads to extraordinary feats, such as enhancing materials at a molecular level or creating energy sources that can power massive projects.
While there is conflict, it serves more as a subtle backdrop, as the main focus centers on the loss of perspective experienced by those who underestimate the small village. A spoiler follows:
...and later, the resentment from his father, who had banished him, escalates when the village unexpectedly thrives, outshining even the capital and putting his entire territory to shame."

A true gentleman of fine taste, I see.
I recommend
One best story I ever read
Done reading and it was good, I love how the couple came from being poor to rich. It's so fun how MC think of ways to earn money until they became nouveau rich. I wish the time together of the couple protagonist was a bit longer in the end plus their twins, some scenes and arcs could actually be explore some more. I wouldn't mind reading a hundred chapters more of this. Their love and tacit understanding made them be on top of my bl couple list ?. It's rare to have a loving ML that's full of doting towards MC in a world full of domineering ML's lol
Oh damn fr? Maybe it's a difference in culture and humour but imo that scene was just goofy and a joke not meant to be taken personally...
idk in my friend group we joke around w far worse and tbh as long as you don't cross over boundaries (which she clearly didn't since he like u said didn't rlly mind) then imo it's not smth to be sensitive about...

After scrolling to the bottom of the rankings, this is the lowest ranked novel at 1257. Perhaps it's ranking will change when I comment this, but who knows ?
I'm not too sure why I tried so hard to find this, but I guess I'm here now. Anyhow, time to go read something actually half decent, see y'all around ?
Edit: I'm the first comment now too, I suppose...
The protagonist of this narrative is utterly unbearable. He believes himself to be superior by rejecting his humanity, delivering cringeworthy monologues about becoming a 'True Villain' or demon lord, resembling a grandiose chuunibyou character. It feels like reliving high school antics with those who made edgy jokes and carried katanas to class. Moreover, there hints of psychopathy in his actions. Despite the "heartwarming" tag, the story involves cold-blooded killings that could have been prevented with minimal effort – he's ruthless, only sparing those he deems attractive. The localization, unfortunately, exacerbates the issue. Overall, the protagonist's presence alone makes the story lackluster.
