Really nice story till now nice settings and the side characters have a sense of presence.
unlike most cultivation novels where the side characters only job is to make noise and serve as a foil to the greatness of the mc. Here every one is their own person
World background and setting though generic is pretty decent.
MC's personality is also a happy-go-lucky-and-I-don't-give-a-damn-about-the-world and likable overall
really liked the story and the first antagonist presented is also decent-ishh

I’ve read up to Ch. 64 then dropped it. I’d say the first 40 chapters are a good read but it just drops in quality, for both translation and plot. The pacing became horrible and it started to drag. The translation became more inconsistent and new terms are added as if it’s being retconned as the story goes. Suddenly, things made less and less sense. Everything became convoluted and it’s hard to see where it’s going. Not in a ooh-I-wonder-what’s-gonna-happen-next way, but in a idk-what’s-going-on-anymore kind of way.10/10 would not recommend.
Before i read the last line of the synopsis i thought it would be like, the system taking control over his body and going after some op girl and making her fall in love with the mc and after dual cultivating with her the mc won't know how to deal with her and it would lead to various situations,Basically a slice of life.But after fully reading the synopsis and reviews it seems to be trash
It is a pretty good novel and it has an excellent translator. The only problem I had reading this was that it seemed more of a list of events happening than a story. the transitions between events were very inorganic and history-textbook-like (not the case for the first arc against his brother). the Wars are very bland and lack the taste of strategy. (this is due to the fact that mc is more technologically advanced). this fact is well established. however, you would assume that other counts and viscounts have their own spy network that specializes in espionage and information gathering. The author leans into "other characters underestimate the mc" a bit too much. It almost feels like he is trying to make the MC an emperor as fast as he can, which in turn messes with the story development and kingdom building.
As of this review, I have read up to chapter 102. Thus far, the story has been phenomenal. No complaints here.I thoroughly enjoy the methodical approach when it comes to explaining the backstory. The pacing sits very comfortably between unbearably slow to the point that everyone forgot (ex. Hey guys, remember this small detail about 350 chapters ago? Martial God Asura, I’m looking at you...) and way too fast to where the backstory feels like an integral parallel format of the novel. Very well done.My one and only HUGE gripe about this work is the grammar and spelling issues. They are not too common, but just plentiful enough to make you reread portions of a chapter. Shocked to find a hidden gem here. Kind of reminded me "Mother of Learning" with the modern times DnD-like setting. For those who are tired up of recent cliché and copycats tide, this is rare good change.
interesting let read and see how it goes, I've really never seen anyone try to integrate a western fantasy in eastern fantasy. yeah I've seen some put in clip scenes but they don't use the western skills so I'm exited to read this
It’s a rip off of the Mount & Blade games. Otherwise super similar to most stories here. Some kind of obvious page length padding with the endless stats.
the novel is not bad but I think most of these reviews are praising it too much. it's definitely not for everyone. I feel like people have just been inundated by trope after trope and thus think that this novel is God tier for simply not having so many tropes.
people will argue that the mc is "overly cautious" and not "cowardly". personally the mc was taking the whole cautious thing too far to the point of being cowardly. being cautious is good but the mc was being too cautious. I mean his disciple gets captured and beat up for years and, after the disciple is freed at the end of the war, the mc straight up admits that he was too afraid to save his disciple.
another thing I'll note is that, while less than other cultivation novels, this novel still suffers from a repetitive plot. but imo, basically all cultivation novels suffer from this so it's not really a bit deal
basically, if you like this kind of novel, cool. if you don't, also cool. I just got bored and slightly annoyed by the progression.
Plot is interesting... characters are well developed except the MC..he is the dumbest or most idiot guy I've ever seen..i mean he is going into a new world, he could have read something about it either online or from his friends but he did not..even he want to go blind in the game he could have used the library or ask information from other NPCs...his priority are not same.. I've read about 150 chapters but all I've seen MC in 2 sects and forest, that's it...he don't bothered to know about the city he is living in, it's history or geography or political situation...
it's one thing to make MC a naive one but to make him retard or a sheep.

A very interesting premise. It's a cultivation story with a focus on exorcism and fighting various underworld monsters. However, the execution left much to be desired.
Writing quality is very poor. There are countless amounts of mistakes, and this is borderline MTL quality. This novel desperately needs an editor. However, I'll give it two stars since it's somewhat readable. (2/5 stars)
Story development. The issue with this novel is closely tied into the character design as well. While I said this story focuses on exorcism, the execution may lead you to believe otherwise. This novel actually focuses on face slapping as many people as possible. None of these important people talk to each other, apparently, so the main character can go around and face slap each one of them individually. Usually this stops at some point, but it's chapter 248 and the novel still hasn't stopped with its face slapping plot. At first it was bearable, but it got so repetitive I had to drop the novel. (2/5 stars)
The character design is very poor as well. Everything wrong with your typical Xianxia novel is amplified in this novel. There are strictly two types of characters in this novel. Those who hate the main character, and those who treat him as God himself. Usually, those who hate the main character will end up revering him after a few slaps to the face. The characters overall have zero personality, and the main character is emotionless. The only character with a actual personality is the system, and it's rather annoying at times. (2/5 stars)
The world background is actually pretty good compared to the rest. The way they describe the world(s) in a timely manner as well as various monsters and their habits makes me wish they worked on the plot and character design a bit more. (4/5 stars)
Overall, a novel with a great premise, but horrible execution. The characters as well as the plot are very bad, and not much effort was put into either. The only redeeming factor is the world background, which is actually pretty good. I give this novel 2.8 stars out of 5.
So the world is heading for an apocalypse in 3 yrs and everyone on earth has the option to enter another world and get stronger. It's not a new concept, but that doesn't really matter. The story itself is alright, if you are into gamer stories with lots of screens and numbers, Good writing quality and update schedule too. The main problems of this story is the way it is currently structured. There isn't really an engaging plot. Like the main goal is just to get stronger, and going into different dungeons or opportunities to get stronger. That's it. There's no overarching plot in the Otherworld. It's just to kill monsters, earn money and level up, and repeat. He isn't solving problems that help people of the other world or anything. He just appears to be amassing strength the entire time. Also feels like the author sometimes falls into that pitfall, where the MC is the only one with good ideas and carries everyone else. Story has a lot of potential, but the author needs to work harder to make them happen.
