The grammar and atrocious mistakes are holding this novel back. Its weird changing the present tense to past tense in the same sentence.The economics are also full of **** for the seventies and that shows zero research from the author. All it would take would be a simple google search to find the information.
I genuinely enjoy it. It's such a nice breath of fresh air from the other stuff on the website, and to add to that its beautifully written. The grammar isn't scuffed so it's a smooth read. The updates are consistent so you can count on your daily dose of feudal Japan. The characters aren't bland, they have an actual personality to them. Yeah those are my thoughts. I was never any good at conclusions and wrapping things up in fluid manner.Anyway, the story is good. Even if you think it might not be your cup of tea, give it a try anyway.
I thought the MC is a white-man, but surprisingly he is a black-man. I just discovered it around 30+ chapters.
I honestly don't know why this novel is still rated so highly I mean the story hasn't been that great since the start of the novel while not being too bad it certainly hasn't been top novel quality. I stopped reading this shortly after the paywall was added as I saw a sharp drop of translation quality that just wasn't seen in earlier chapters. it was like the translator just decided that the quality didn't matter as long as there was a large amount of chapters that people would pay for. it saddens me to think that people just don't care about what they are doing to make it right as they pursue a way just to make money while delivering poor quality goods, plus the lack of communication from the translator to the people that are paying for the work is disheartening. this would be a 3.5 to a 4.0 novel if it was done right but in the current state it really is pushing it for me to even give it this rating. I hope maybe in the future someone will go through and edit this translation properly and I feel sorry for all those paying for such subpar goods. sorry for such a long post but I just needed to vent after I saw the current state this novel was in.
you have over 1000 chapters out but don't consider investing time and effort to revamp this whole novel?there are actually people giving this a 5 star?how can you give something a 5 star rating if you can't even "decipher" what the content of the novel is? the writing is so bad after you read !!!ONE!!! sentence you have to first think AND guess what it could mean and then re-translate it in your head. just let that sink in for a bit.i tried and tried but chapter after chapter it just got worse and worse. i just can't anymore.definitely dropped.
Honestly, I’m coming to dislike this MC more and more. He is cowardly and is constantly flaunting his potential around, sure it’s funny, but all he does is hide and cultivate as if once he becomes immortal he will be invincible. Which I highly doubt because 1. Dude look at the world your in no one dies from disease 2. With no fighting experience your weak no matter your cultivation 3. When you’re immortal I fail to believe you’re undying so other immortals can kill you and lastly he is acting like your typical young master spoiled thinking he need not do anything because he already has everything when he really has nothing, it’s disappointing and I’m disgusted.
