I know this is supposed to be atmospheric setup but I literally stopped reading and just stared at that sentence. There's something so tender and fragile about it — silk, mist, gentle rain — and then immediately after, we get this little girl saying "I don't want to go" in those watery doe-like eyes. The contrast just wrecked me. This delicate, beautiful creature is about to be handed off like a package and the world is just... raining softly around her like nothing is happening. But the emotional core of these chapters isn't the romance — it hasn't even started yet — it's the mother-daughter ghost that haunts everything. Jinhuan's biological mother died giving birth to her. Her father had to shamelessly beg other women to let him bring his baby to nurse. He fed her rice soup by hand until she was two. That image of a father, a man in 1976 China, swallowing his pride and going door to door asking strangers for their breastfeeding daughters to feed his own child — I can't get it out of my head. It's the kind of love that's desperate and humble and absolutely devastating. And now that father is using his dead wife's daughter as a bargaining chip. Now that father is smiling kindly while negotiating his daughter's future to a man nine years older who can't give her children. The betrayal isn't loud or dramatic — it's quiet, it's polite, it's wrapped in the language of family duty. That's what makes it hurt so much. Jinhuan's fear at the end — what if she becomes a widow with no children and no standing? — that's not just anxiety about the future, that's the fear of a girl who has never once been fought for the way her mother fought for her.

i liked this novel as this follows solo leveling theme, also, the mc is really op. and the idea that everyone is awaken from the birth is pretty funny ? because it leads to so many possibilities such as hunter school, etc. which sounds cool. but I didn't like the lenghthof each chapter it is really short

A one of a kind creation filled with intriguing elements and non mainstream themes.Though it falls on the darker side of a webnovel, it still has some parts that shine in aspects unrelated to dark novels.The mc is intelligent and quick-witted.Although quiet, he has a good grasps of his thoughts and doesn't waste his and our time.Despite the story just beginning, the supporting characters seem to be immersed in a world of their own.They don't overly stand out, but are not lost in the crowd either. Instead, it seems as though they're just continuing their lives instead of starting from beginning with vague backstories.The story itself has more to look forward to, than Lucy escaping his captors and becoming strong enough to get revenge on his father. (Ps. I read the spoilers.)The world building is very unique and well-defined.And the writing style of the author is not bad and the author has a special way of inserting important information in the most subtle of ways. (Yeah, I saw what you did back there in chapter 1)Uhh… what else…Updates and stability? I can't really say much on that since I met a bunch of chapters waiting for me to read through.Consistency!The author has a way with cliffhangers, and the transition from chapter to chapter.Trust me, if I didn't meet those chapters, I might've been frustrated to no end.That phrase; leaves you wanting more… it definitely exists in here if the author manages to get you immersed, which he definitely will.There are a few grammatical errors, but hey, no one's perfect and the story's good enough for me to not even spot them or simply ignore them.And finally, why are you still reading this instead of clicking read now.Haven't I convinced you enough!?
