Such a captive book that captures your mind from first chapter itself, I'm loving it. Waiting for more chapters.
Really disappointing that you keep readers waiting for weeks on end! Very unfortunate that you could potentially be losing readers
I read the whole thing. I was good. Nonetheless, the descriptions are there. It was not more verbal but the story of how it was told the author kept it nice.
My first impression was "decent". I think this deserved a 10.
To be concise, this novel had a great concept regarding how the main character (MC) and love interest (ML) meet, but they both feel like wooden boards halfway through. There are no high stakes, very little foreshadowing, missing context, and poorly utilized side characters. I felt like I was fooled by the slowly darkening plot at the very beginning, and I fell into the trap of thinking this novel would be different.
It has a few original ideas, but they were not developed very well. The only part I truly enjoyed was the somewhat misunderstood relationship between the ML and MC at the very beginning.
Spoiler:
I literally didn't understand why the MC still had fatherly feelings for the ML and then asked to be in a romantic relationship??? There was no reason for that to be a thing except to set up the best joke in the novel about the MC treating the ML like a son when he's bald and like a lover when he's not.
Spoiler:
Then suddenly the MC is livestreaming because of his siren voice, but he never shows off his fishtail at any point? There's no need to be drawing unnecessary attention as a lucky koi merman (when the author has already mentioned how dangerous it is to be one). The ML literally said he'd provide energy stones for him...
I'll stop here; I'm getting worked up. I'm thinking of all the plot holes now.
TLDR: Good description, quite misleading. Beautifully written at the beginning, loses touch later.
The story was quite readable, not too bad overall. However, it did drag a bit at times. I completely agree with other readers who found the male lead (ML) annoying and the main character (MC) selfish.
I really appreciated the extra chapters where Heidan finally mustered the courage to call her mother. Every time I read about how he wanted to call her but couldn't, it broke my heart. It was really touching to see her contribute to the prosperity of both her family and her in-laws.
I'm attempting to read through this, but the narrative is causing me a headache... Two lifetimes? It's hard to understand why someone would remain so foolish... Despite an intriguing beginning, the story becomes convoluted. The main focus should have been on the protagonist's character development and redemption arc, but it seems to lose its way. sigh.
I wanna break it….i am see you senior stacker ?
I swear this novel update schedule is as tragic as walm's life
"It's likely one of the most delightful shoujo-ai novels I've come across. The plot isn't overly complex, brimming with heartfelt emotions, and the characters are engaging. The storyline itself is captivating, although the supernatural aspect might be a bit too fantastical for some. In summary, if you're a fan of girls' love stories, this book is a charming and brief treat."
Where can I read them?
Poor mc is getting teased by the jealous ml LMAOO
Ikr. Wish JP LNs could make a decisive, wise and chad mc. That could think right even with a pretty woman in front.
