Good book I love it
Let me just be clear: Fang Shubai is not a love interest. He is a threat with a scholar's degree and a mother who enables him. The moment he says 'I schemed against Ali because I love her. I merely used a few methods to bring her back to my side' — that is the most chilling line in this entire passage. He literally admits to destroying her life and frames it as romantic devotion. And the stakes keep escalating. First it was reputation destruction. Then it was selling her father's house. Now he's showing up at Han Sheng's door gripping her wrist while his mother and sister watch and call her a 'vixen.' The rumor mill is still churning — Master Li is being harassed by Han Sheng over rumors he didn't even spread, which means someone ELSE is behind the gossip. Su Mingyuan correctly identifies this: 'Someone else must be spreading those rumors.' But who? The suspense is real because Fang Shubai is clearly losing control. His health is 'improving' (whatever that means in context), his mother is arranging other marriages, and Ali is getting stronger every day. She now has her own money, her own skills, her own protector. The conflict is no longer 'will she survive' but 'what happens when she stops surviving and starts fighting back?'
this is a very interesting book, the reading is consistent and the main characters are simply awesome

I loved this book, stand out from her other works as another genre, yet always a well written story line , with a good character building, suspense and witty notions too. Loved I was so invested to find it all out. Highly recommend this story !
