I am no novice when it comes to the Xianxia genre. I have read so many novels in the genre and consider myself a connoisseur. And believe me when I say this novel can compete with the best of them. What the author has done is phenomenal the world and the characters and the lore are so enriched. Wang Wei is up there with the best of the best (the only bad character trait he has that boarders on juvenile is his grudge against his grandfather on his mother’s side, for how intelligent he is it comes across as ridiculous).
This novel is darn near flawless and is Leagues above your favourite Xianxia novel if you are reading this review then it means you are curious trust me when I say invest your time in this amazing novel and you will be well rewarded. just a shame I didn’t discover this after it had been completed as waiting for the next chapter is agonising. Oh another point of contention I want to raise is that this novel should be number 1 in the power rankings and all other rankings on here. I have read all the other top 10’s and this novel is far superior to them and should be higher.
Regarding the title. 10 days is over 60+ chapters and only after the majority of the story turned in to modern day fantasy. Feels like a major bait and switch. Less said about the government "recruitment" the better.
The secret organization asks him if he wants to join and he declines. So far so good. Only, an emergency way above his pay grade happens and he loses his choice and is drafted for the situation. this happens multiple times until the MC gives in. At least it is only for 10 days... Oh wait..
Interesting premise, we'll see if it actually works out in the end or if it'll get dropped or become premium and then dropped.
Feeling up space trying to make the review more than 140 characters
After reading up to chapter 220, I can say that this story is the uncrowned number one novel on this website.
The writing is very well done with a very satisfying flow and pace. There are no fillers and no repetition. Each chapter is a delight to read and the source of incrutiating pain (because we have to wait for the next chapter).
The world building unravels as the story progresses and it makes sense. There is some plot armor but it is very light armor as it is justified by the previous knowledge of MC.
The enemies don't talk for the sake of talking and there is no stupid evil person offending the MC with no concrete benefit unlike many other stories.
The translation quality is top notch and is stable. We wish there would be one or two more chapters per week but hey, we can't have everything we want in life I guess.
Overall, I can't wait to read more and wish to thank everyone involved in bringing this magnificent story to all of us. Much love from Algeria!

The characters develop well as the story unravels, it has been enjoyable to read so far. However some of the plot seems familiar, or generic (This is just my opinion from reading so many books). I hope that it will update soon though.

Starting a story is easy! Just drown the reader in so much info dumping and exposition that they can’t possibly escape! Once the reader is stuck, then trap them in a series of MC weak to strong building and ass-kicking of arrogant masters. They will never escape then and will be forced to read the rest of your story.

Story - 2/5 There is a story. There is. This is not a paper on a system cultivator, is it? Am I reading one endless monologue? I am sure this story would be great if I could get past this wall of text hiding Mount Tai.
Characters - 1/5 The characters speak to me. Literally. The MC rarely speak to someone else, unless its a cardboard cut out cliche. Parent, Grandpa. Quite literally named Grandpa trope so the author doesn't have to show anything about him to the reader #shortcut #efficientwriting. The reader will know from all the other copy and paste novels who use Grandpa. Teacher - angry and hates MC. Why? Who cares we need people in authority to be irredeemable illogical antagonists so the hero MC can make them look like fools in a few chapters.
Flow - 5/5 The flow is excellent. I enjoyed reading this exposition. The Authors note explaining the yet to be introduced system was perfect. Why let the story show the system. Just tell the reader and yeah Authors note works perfectly. Btw When does the story start?

So far the story has been good and main character was likeable. The world development in the book so far hasn’t been much but that’s ok since it’s just the beginning of the story , so in conclusion the story has been good .
