She's not prepping for a camping trip. She's prepping for THE APOCALYPSE. And the way the author writes these scenes—so calm, so methodical—it's what makes it terrifying. "These dangerous materials were silently removed without leaving any trace." That line gave me chills. She's literally stealing weapons from criminals and storing them in some kind of hidden dimension. The risk here is insane. If she gets caught, if someone follows her, if her psychic abilities fail for even a second—game over. But she doesn't seem scared. She seems ALIVE. "The risks only heightened her excitement. She thrived on the thrill of moving unseen in the shadows." And then she comes HOME and immediately starts buying 10,000 sets of clothing, 30,000 units of rice and beans and cooking oil. The wholesale market scenes are almost comically massive in scale. "The noise of the bustling crowd and moving vehicles created a lively chaos." She's driving a huge truck through normal life while secretly building an armory. The tension between the mundane and the apocalyptic is what keeps me hooked. What does she stand to lose? Everything, apparently. And what's she gambling? Her life, probably. But she's doing it anyway. That's the kind of protagonist I can get behind.

Okay so Jiang Jiming is honestly the most terrifying and fascinating character I've ever read. Like, on the surface he's this perfect boyfriend material—cooks for her, brings her milk, lets her boss him around—but then you see him standing in a pitch-black room with a dagger, slitting throats without even blinking, and your stomach drops. The contrast is insane. And the worst part? He genuinely seems to think he's being sweet. When Wen Chi told him 'men and women should keep a proper distance,' his immediate reaction wasn't to respect her boundary—it was to blame those guys for ruining his progress with her. That's not love, that's possession wrapped in a bow. But here's what gets me: he actually handed her his dagger without hesitation. That's trust, even if it's twisted. And Wen Chi? She's evolving so fast. She went from 'oh this guy is nice' to cutting tendons alongside a seven-year-old in one chapter. The scene where she tells the kid 'follow me, don't let him die so easily'—that's not the same girl who was just watching BL dramas on a tablet. She's adapting. She's surviving. And Jiang Jiming loves that about her, which is both sweet and deeply disturbing.

I’m on chapter 144. Really under rated bully romance. Well plotted storyline with lots of unexpected twists to keep reading. ML starts out as a total d**k but has plausible character growth. FL has a strong backbone despite insurmountable odds. Good grammer is a hugh plus. Great work author ......
