Surprisingly, the synopsis is indeed a synopsis, and the story is enjoyable. The attractive male protagonist and the ghost with a healing touch might seem a bit contrived, but hey, I've seen worse and much lower-rated works. Actually, I meant to give it five stars...

Written in the present tense, the narrative weaves familiar tropes of nobility, but Vira, belonging to the Headless, injects a fresh twist into the conventional tale as she pursues her fate.
Mirette, as expected, is the daughter of a duke, poised, intelligent, and humble. Engaged to a prince, her life takes an unexpected turn when Duke Thea, known for her prophetic abilities, declares Mirette cursed. According to Thea, if Mirette proceeds with the marriage, disaster will strike the kingdom. Consequently, her engagement is dissolved, and Thea becomes the new princess-to-be. Despite the prophecy, Mirette tries to clear her name but falls gravely ill, leading to her isolation in a secluded mansion.

Regarding Thea's prophecy, it's intriguing to ponder if there was some truth to it beyond her ulterior motives. Perhaps, by manipulating the prophecy and breaking Mirette's engagement, Thea inadvertently sealed her and the prince's fate, as Mirette now has a valid reason for seeking revenge. As a cautionary tale, Thea's actions aren't endorsed, but it makes for an engaging theory.
MC is an impressive girl, she's the driving force in the relationship. ML should address her as his wife, indeed. All the characters were entertaining, especially the little prince, who was just adorable. Harry's character had a complex demeanor, and Uncle Lu seemed to hold a prominent position. Although the plot might have been a bit unclear, I must admit I really liked Li Che (the original ML). Despite facing challenges with a murder case and an assisting homicide on his record, stemming from his abusive upbringing and MC's adoptive father's mistreatment, he chose to defy his past and follow the rules of the world. Through determination and excellent people skills, he managed to amass wealth, which I find inspiring in stories of self-made entrepreneurs.
