I discovered this yesterday and can't stop reading. I love the characters and the world and the story so far. I hope you continue writing it
The story starts promising but with an extremely bad pace, 80 ch. for only two days and then a week in 10 ch. making an inconsistency in pacing. Also the mc in the zanza development arc is contrary to the first arc, just wanting to change everything to modern standards forgetting he is in older times and as he already explained first he has to adapt, but this doesn't happen. Also the interest for him creating a competitive market of modern times is ridiculous, considering he has a monopoly of goods that are groundbreaking, thus he don't need that competitive prices. In general the story is good with interesting concepts such as the army scheme and world building but the mc cannot manage to get a defined personality: does he want to conquer, develop economy, protect himself or let debauchery consume him, is he a good person, is he bad, neutral. It isn't clear what he wants or what he is so the mc becomes a character with inconsistencies that damage the plot and development of secondary characters.
This is my first time reading a sports novel but it's not a bad one. This is the best novel. Keep up with your good work.
This one is fresh to my taste. I don't know bout' others but this one, I like!!Hoping for more exciting system rewards. That's what I was hoping for on system novels.
great read... really holds ur attention.
loved it .........
I don't know about anyone else but this is gold! it's written exactly the way I love my books, action! I hope there's romance somewhere down the chapters ......
I can't get enough of this book
I need to talk about ONE specific moment because it wrecked me in the best way. Gu Shaoyuan sits down at the table after Qiao Yu had already claimed the seat. He's standing there, awkward, not knowing where to go. And then Qiao Yu — this girl he's literally just met for the first time — reaches over and brushes dirt off his sleeve. Just casually, like it's the most natural thing in the world. "There was some mud on your sleeve. I brushed it off." She was just being neat. That's it. But Gu Shaoyuan's face stays expressionless while his throat goes dry. The author doesn't even dramatize it. No internal monologue, no dramatic pause. Just: his throat felt dry. And somehow that understatement made it so much more intense. Compare that to how Gu Shaoyuan treats Liu Cuicui — he doesn't even glance at her when she positions herself between them at the table. He walks straight past her like she's furniture. Meanwhile he lets Qiao Yu touch his arm after two hours of knowing her. The physical description when they first meet also does a lot of emotional heavy lifting. She's 165cm, he's 190cm — a full head taller. He shields her from the sun without thinking about it. These are small gestures but they're the kind that build chemistry better than any love confession could at this point. Also can we appreciate that Qiao Yu's first thought comparing him to her ex is "Far better than that weakling Zhang Yu"? She's not even romantically invested yet and already she's ranking him above her past. That's the kind of casual comparison that makes you smile while reading.
This is one of the best stories I ever read on this app
Yess .........
