this novel is good but it is getting boring now.. too much dragging it.. now luke and biance matter should end and their child story should begin.

1st book of the series and the book that has you hooked..the no1 love story, definatly will stay my favourite couple. Adventure, happiness, love, sadness, tears and laughter, it has you on the edge of your seat shouting at your screen, you fall in love then fall in love all over again reading xx

I need to talk about the opening scene because WOW. The author drops us straight into a beast garden where a woman is being sold to be fed to tigers. There's this pot-bellied old man with white hair and withered skin salivating over her, and the atmosphere is just SO thick with dread. You can practically smell the blood and decay. But what made it really work for me was the contrast. This filthy, rotting place where people are treated like livestock — and then Ye Junfei appears. Dressed in white, wearing a fox mask, moving so silently you can't hear him approach. The description of him is almost ethereal: "elegant, noble, and as graceful as a jade tree in the wind." He's literally the most out-of-place person in this entire hellhole, and that juxtaposition is incredible. The beast garden itself feels like a character. It's not just a generic dark location — it has tigers, it has an old pervert with a garden of "tigers" (read: women), it has axes for dismemberment. The author didn't over-describe it, which is smart. We get enough to feel the griminess and the danger without getting bogged down in exposition. Then there's the morning scene when they leave — the sky is fully bright, two hours have passed, and Lin Xiuyan is walking ahead leading the way. The transition from the darkness of the beast garden to daylight feels symbolic in a way that isn't even subtle, and I loved it. The fight pit setting also gives me major gladiatorial vibes, which adds this layer of historical oppression to the world. People are literally bought and sold and fed to beasts. It makes the stakes feel real because this world is genuinely cruel.

I really like the whole "Big Brother" plot,and the way it was described. I am not a fan of such shows,so it was a huge surprise how well it was described without it being overwhelming, and kept the interest to keep reading.
