Okay so let me just say this upfront—this chapter sequence is doing something really clever with plot mechanics and I need to talk about it. The Sacred Snow Mountain appearing is basically the author handing Mu Shuiqi a deus ex machina on a silver platter, but doing it in a way that feels earned rather than cheap. Remember how earlier she had to literally throw herself into Purple Sorrow Lake to escape? Now the entire mechanism for her return home has been established through environmental rules—snow plus moonlight, or sunshower—and it ties back to her original world. That's not lazy writing, that's setup and payoff. The author planted the weather connection early and now it's paying off. But then—Goddess Luoying shows up. And this is where the plot gets interesting because it creates an immediate obstacle right when Mu Shuiqi thinks she has a way home. Bingyou literally says "Didn't you want to go home? Since Sacred Snow Peak has appeared, if you cross over it, you should be able to return to Yicheng." And Mu Shuiqi's internal monologue is just... devastating in the best way. She reads this as him wanting her gone because a beautiful goddess has arrived. The plot is using a romantic misunderstanding as a structural pivot point. The chapter then cuts to her returning to Yicheng and immediately hitting a new problem—the monster photo scandal. So the author basically resolved one plot thread (how to get home) only to immediately create three new ones (the forum drama, Cui Mengmeng's worry, Chou Chou's exposure risk). That's tight plotting. Every resolution births a new complication. I'm just wondering though—what's the point of establishing this Sacred Snow Mountain travel mechanism if the whole school already knows about a monster taking Mu Shuiqi? Doesn't that make going back and forth way riskier now? Or is the author setting up a situation where she has to deal with the fallout before she can safely use the mountain again? Because that would make a lot of narrative sense.
The pacing in these chapters is masterful. You start in the hospital ward with high tension - Ning Xin has been injured, her grandmother is angry, there's conflict with family members. Then you get this quiet moment with the terrible food, the revelation about the recipe book, the grandmother's emotional breakdown. And then suddenly you're outside in the courtyard, walking around, taking in the space, reflecting on the father's life. The transition from internal family drama to external physical space is so smooth. It gives the reader a chance to breathe after all that emotional intensity. And the chapter structure itself is interesting - you have the hospital scene, then the food scene, then the courtyard scene, and each one serves a different purpose. The hospital is about conflict and resolution, the food is about family dynamics and revelation, the courtyard is about reflection and moving forward. The author doesn't rush any of these moments. Even the dialogue about the father's cooking skills and the recipe book lie gets its own space to land. And then the chapter ends with Ning Xin standing by the flower bed, feeling the melancholy dissipate. It's a perfect structural arc for these chapters - tension, release, reflection, hope. I also love how the author uses the food as a pacing device. Those terrible steamed buns, the mushy tofu, the watery cucumbers - they're funny but they also slow down the narrative, giving us a moment of levity before the heavier revelations.

A good story like it a lot and thr development of the story is good
I have read the other title by the same author 'Rebirth of a Genius Creator/Destroyer'. Author can bring really good twists on a regular cliche. Looking forward to this
It’s good so far. Reading the book description I’m having suspicions this Druid idea is based off of Dark and Darker and/or Wow. In which case I’m very excited because they are interesting concepts. Either way I’ll leave an actual review at 200-300 chapters or so.
I really like this story a lot. Would definitely recommend if you like books like this one... The sypnosis is really nice and interesting and the overall work in a must read.
Lots of inconsistency. ML can’t find his mate in a closed off room thinking she was just hiding. He’s an Alpha for pete’s sake. Even their son can find her Mom leaving from the hospital so he had to run to where her scent leads him. There was also the scene where FL asked her son in a whisper to not call her Mom while ML is just at the back of her. An Alpha should have a heightened hearing. What is this?
Dear Author, I'm a big admirer of your writing! After reading your book, I was blown away by your talent. I have some ideas on how to take your book to the next level and expand its readership. Would you be willing to listen to my feedback and suggestions?
Out of every family drama I've every read, this one cut deepest. The moment I met Annabelle, I knew I was in for a wild ride. Her toxic family dynamics and her complicated past hooked me from chapter one. Get comfortable because this story is a masterpiece rollercoaster of emotions ?
This novel feels a lot face than usual there was no proper depth in character and too many investment and that too it was fast.
to much face-slaping bullshit everyone in the story has around 3 braincells that's includes the mc and too much cliche .the only good thing is the world building
