Let me just say this once and be done with it: Yingjie has the best dialogue in this entire novel and I will die on this hill. When Madam Lin comes scolding her for skipping zither practice to tend plants, Yingjie doesn't cower. She doesn't apologize. She says: "Learning doesn't guarantee understanding; understanding doesn't guarantee mastery. Improvement takes time. Mother, please don't worry too much about me." She is quoting classical philosophy to her mother to justify playing with flowers. That is peak Yingjie energy. And then: "If learning meant going to country estates, medicinal gardens, or southern apothecaries to study management, I would gladly go. But if it's sitting indoors staring at ledgers all day, I'm afraid the ledgers will know me before I know them." I am wheezing. The ledgers will know me before I know them. She is weaponizing wit against parental expectation and she is winning. But what's really impressive is how every character has a distinct voice. Pei Bingyuan speaks in measured, formal sentences when he's stressed—"I hope I haven't disturbed your studies"—but when he's emotional, his words are raw and immediate: "Not enough! I would rather be called a stubborn donkey than a coward." Madam Lin's dialogue is practical, slightly exasperated, always circling back to marriage prospects. Ruolan's single line—"No need to rush; many noble girls in the capital only marry at eighteen"—tells you everything about her character: proud, defiant, unwilling to be managed. Even the minor characters have voice. Changzhou's embarrassed "I don't know, Fourth Miss" when Yingjie asks about the fern. The way Huai and Yingjie's dialogue is plain and direct—"Brother said, there are families who don't care about zither or painting. If not, he'll back me up. If I like a family, he'll make them accept me regardless."—it sounds like a nine-year-old girl who has absolute faith in her older brother. The author isn't just writing dialogue, she's writing personality.

Honest Review, please understand that these are all my personal opinions.This is not the best novel I've seen but it is good one as someone who is addicted to romance novels/comics??. I don't really care if he doesn't end up with Liliana, and probably better that way. I'm rooting for Lydia more! but it's still fine with Liliana.Now that he meets Liliana in the academy maybe you can add plots like Liliana accidentally discovering about necklace. ?? Anyway, I still think that only 10% is romance so that's a bit sad. ?I wanna bring what it is said in the sypnosis: "A being with the power of a god." and "Time, Space, Life, Death... All submitted with authority of a Nephilim." because his powers are too underwhelming for someone who has power of a god. For example he can literally only do 3 moves with his Time "Manipulation" power, all of which can be done by ordinary time manipulator and no, I'm not talking about his experience with his power here. I wish you can be more creative when it comes to his powers.Also I hope that the author will upload much more chapters. At least once a week would be fine.
I've only read the first two chapters but I'm already hooked, as expected of a SandKastle novel! The acting arcs in Idol were amazing and now we have a whole novel dedicated to them.Knowing Sandy, there will be plenty of drama, excitement, tension and cliffhangers (why would you choose to master the forbidden technique!!).Now I would end with a line related to acting and movies but I can't think of one. So I'll save that for my full review once I've read more.In Sandy we trust ?
