The stakes in this section are incredibly high and the author never lets you forget it. On the surface, Song Fanghua has lost her fiancé and gained a reputation as a husband-killer. But the real stakes are so much deeper. Her family has always treated her as an outsider — she was raised by foster parents in the countryside and only recently returned. If she fails here, she has NO safety net. The Zhang family wants her dead or at least imprisoned. Her own parents would happily sell her out for a few extra yuan. And Director Li is a snake in human clothing who will betray her the moment it benefits him. The scene where Wang Cuifen's mob closes in on Fanghua is genuinely tense. You can feel the physical danger — these people are armed with anger and numbers, and Fanghua is alone. But what makes it even more stressful is that her parents are standing right there and they CHOOSE to distance themselves. 'Why don't you take her away and deal with her?' They literally offer her up to save their own skin. And yet — and this is the incredible part — Fanghua doesn't panic. She assesses the situation, identifies the key player (Li Youde), and turns the entire crisis into an opportunity. She knows Li Youde's weakness (his youngest son's job problem), she knows what he wants (the factory position), and she makes a deal that benefits everyone — except the people who actually deserve to win. The stakes shift again when she returns home and her parents start whispering about how to get her money. Now the conflict isn't just external — it's inside her own home. The people who should protect her are the ones trying to steal from her. And she just smiles and slams the door. 'Well, with these things as cover, it'll be easier to explain if I take more things out of Kongjian in the future.' This line alone tells you she's already thinking three steps ahead. The tension never drops because Fanghua never stops being strategic.
The dialogue in this opening is sharp and revealing. Ji Nanxi's transformation from drama queen to devoted wife is communicated entirely through her words. 'Husband, I was wrong!' 'I'll go to the island with you!' 'When a woman says she wants a divorce, she's really just hoping for some comfort from her man!' These lines show her understanding of social dynamics and her willingness to use them strategically. Lu Zhiyan's dialogue is sparse but telling. 'What trick are you playing now?' 'Ji Nanxi, every time we argue, you always bring up divorce.' His voice is described as deep but his words are guarded. He's a man who speaks little and means more. The contrast between his external coldness and internal confusion is perfect. The system dialogue is interesting—it's mechanical and informative, but Ji Nanxi's responses show her personality. 'Yaoyao Zero, is this Mall accessible to all Interstellar users?' She's already thinking about the implications, not just the rewards. Her question about taking pictures and setting prices shows her merchant background. The military wives' dialogue adds humor and social context. Auntie Liu's loud, clear voice and her direct question about the divorce rumors creates instant tension. Ji Nanxi's response—'Even the closest relationships have their moments—like teeth accidentally biting the tongue!'—is witty and deftly deflects gossip. What I love is how dialogue reveals character without exposition. Ji Nanxi's sudden affectionate language ('Honey, let me take the smaller one for you!') contrasts with her internal calculations. Lu Zhiyan's physical reactions—flushing ears, withdrawn hand—contradict his cold words. The gap between what characters say and what they feel creates dramatic irony that keeps readers engaged. The narrative voice is third-person limited, staying close to Ji Nanxi's perspective. This allows us to hear her internal thoughts while watching her perform for other characters. The humor comes from this double layer—she's acting the part of the reformed wife while secretly planning her interstellar trade empire.
This story is a fresh combination of interstellar, boy idol band, and the supernatural. While I agree that the plot has a slow start (romantic interest not really introduced until Ch. 64), it’s a wonderful story of ennui, confusion, an unknown hungering for ‘more,’ and finally discovering ‘self’ and what it means to be human. I eagerly wait for each new chapter and can’t wait for the (hopefully soon) interactions between Qin An & He Li! ?

It’s not a bad story but honestly it’s suffering from two things. The pacing and the MC being not a character. The pacing does get better but MC personally is just not there. She might have had a better personality then she was emotionless. Again, it’s not a bad story just not for me.

Hi everyone so I allow myself to make a self-criticism towards this novel and in the meantime I don't love it because it's mine (a little) but it's also that I like this kind of Extra story and this project stayed in my mind for a little while, I'm also writing a novel called Slayer of the God or great reincarnation of the vengful god slayer and you can see that my review on it was a bit disappointing unlike SSS Extra, this novel was a test to see if I was really ready to write a novel and now I'm sure with the beginning of SSS Extra
