Please update, the suspense is killing.
What a lovely write up.
Praying it’s not another long book that is repetitive and drawn out. I like short and to the point.
I am not okay with how good the dialogue is in this book. Let me just start with the PIN scene because it's absolutely perfect. Cen Xie tells Ying Zhu the PIN is his birthday, February 22nd, and Ying Zhu goes oh what a coincidence and then deadpans that his friend's dog has the same birthday. The narration tells us this is technically true — the friend adored the dog, threw it a birthday party every year, the date was easy to remember, so it stuck. But we also learn that friend died on the battlefield and of all the warriors from their school very few survived. So this whole flippant conversation is built on top of this devastating subtext that Cen Xie clearly senses but can't quite articulate, and he just stands there wanting to say something but the server interrupts them. I read that exchange four times. Then there's the emoji war. Ying Zhu sends a string of egg cell emojis and Cen Xie immediately fires back a string of sperm emojis. The narration has Ying Zhu tossing his phone aside and thinking he shouldn't have asked, which is such a perfect character beat because of course Cen Xie would weaponize biology in a text message argument. And later when Ying Zhu is mentally spiraling about the duration of their memory and blaming Cen Xie for keeping it going, Cen Xie just tilts his head and sends question marks. Three of them. The man is a menace. But the dialogue that really showcases their dynamic is the heat conversation. Cen Xie asks how Ying Zhu spends his heat, and Ying Zhu says find an Alpha and put a muzzle on him. Cen Xie says find an Alpha and hold a gun to his head. The silence that follows is so heavy you can feel it through the page. And then Cen Xie whispers that he really hopes Omega heat just disappears one day, and Ying Zhu says neither do I. Two people who have built their entire identities around power and control, admitting to each other something so vulnerable. That's not just good dialogue, that's the kind of moment that redefines everything you thought you knew about these characters.
Hey when will you update this book please
Please continue am so in love with this book
I am really warming up to Julian, but i still feel like Nalani is too good for him lol. looking forward to more!
Thanks to the writer for a great book with an interesting storyline. I appreciated that the FL was a strong person. Glad that she found true love. I cried at times. Steamy scenes.
I love the tension between Clara and Sebastian. Seeing how he went from provoking her to wanting to woe her, they'd definitely make a cute couple. Love it!
I want Ryan to end up with Darius. Otherwise, I will be back to rant.
The story has started well.
it's the best story have ever read
