[Iron fist]
The veil of nocturnal darkness was suddenly pierced by an immense luminous column. It shone through the dark night and crashed into the Shadow, forcing it to let go of an atrocious pain scream. In an instant, the creature was knocked down and its body, tangible and viscous, collapsed to the ground. Siena heaved a sigh of relief, before looking at the position where Harel crashed.

More than liked, a lot of the things they did today were favorite things for her to do. He might have thought about the concept that Wei Jin was trying to woo the young miss if he wasn't a 10 year old brat, that wouldn't know about such matters.
"What the hell was that?"
I was shocked and angry to hear those word moreover I was irritated by Joey's looks how could he say this to me so, I decided to use this weapon against him.
There's a scene in this passage that I keep coming back to, and it's one the author barely describes at all—but it's the most visually striking moment in the entire section. The Xue family, having been publicly humiliated at Ningyuan Houfu, waiting for everyone else to leave before they slip away in disgrace. Can you picture it? A wealthy noble family, suddenly shrinking, moving like shadows while other guests depart normally. The contrast between their public status and their private shame is almost cinematic. And then Xue Mingzhu, performing kindness while secretly enjoying the power move? The visual of her standing there with that fake smile while her father seethes is something I can't unsee. Then the image of Xue Ning arriving—not walking home in the dark like they expected, but stepping out of Old Madam Jiang's carriage. The author doesn't describe the carriage in detail, but we don't need to. The mere fact that it's NOT the Xue family's carriage says everything. It's a visual statement: she has allies. She has power. She doesn't need them. And the final scene—Xie An leaning against her headboard, weak but smiling, holding Xue Ning's hand. The contrast between the cold, angry Xue mansion and this quiet, intimate courtyard visit is striking. One is all noise and performance; the other is genuine human connection in a space of confinement. Xie An may be imprisoned by General Lu Yuan, but in this moment, surrounded by her friend, she's the one who seems most free. The worldbuilding here isn't in grand descriptions—it's in the spaces between what's shown and what's implied. The carriages, the courtyards, the power dynamics encoded in who visits whom and in what mode of transport. Brilliant.
The heritec sneered and the ice on his feet melted and evaporated and it ran away again but the man on white trench coat blocked his way.
"See something you like, Aleksandr?" she teased and straightened from the wall.
He was quite angry that he goes into berserk mode before his time.
As if woken up from the dreamy weather, Egon could not help but retort coldly, "Lady, I'm beginning to think you enjoy our misery."
