As of the latest translated chapter, this has undeniably become one of my favorite light novels I've come across. Despite having the opportunity to correct his past mistakes, the protagonist still encounters obstacles due to the changes he's made, which adds a realistic and grounded layer to the plot. The protagonist's determination to improve, despite setbacks, is truly commendable.
In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend this novel for those who enjoy a slow-burning romance with a strong emphasis on character development.

Thankfully, I persevered, as Arc 2 (set in ancient times) and subsequent parts improved significantly. The main character's personality evolved, turning into a more immersive character, which made the storytelling feel like a compelling drama series.
As for the "love at first sight" trope, I didn't mind it after witnessing the awkward pursuit in Arc 1; I wasn't eager to see a repeat performance. The male lead, although stereotypical with his possessiveness, wasn't as one-dimensional as some reviews suggested. His constant exasperation and adoration created a humorous dynamic in their relationship.
One aspect that set this novel apart from others in its genre was the development of characters who were initially meant to be mainstays.
