Okay I need to talk about the elevator scene because my heart literally cannot handle it. The way Wen Shanyi just... fell for her in that cramped elevator. Like, he was trying so hard to stay rational and composed, and then their arms touched and his whole world shifted. "Warmth. Softness. Fragrance." Three words and I was dead. The author really said let's make the reader suffer through proximity tension. And Shen Jiaojiao! She's so flustered and adorable, pressing against his chest, trying to escape but there's nowhere to go. And Wen Shanyi just leans down and says "Stop moving" in this voice that's "no longer cool and detached" — girl, I SCREAMED. The way he chuckles afterward? The ambiguity? Secretary Liu over there is suffering watching this and honestly so am I but in a good way. But here's the thing that got me — Wen Shanyi's internal monologue about "If only he had met this version of Shen Jiaojiao a few years earlier." That line hit me like a truck. He's already fallen, he knows she's married, and he's already making excuses to himself. And then right after, the narrator drops "So she's married—so what? It's not like she can't get a divorce." I literally gasped out loud. This man is already planning to tear down walls. The contrast between Xie Yanqing's icy glare when He Chuya touches Shen Jiaojiao's hand versus Wen Shanyi's slow, deliberate surrender is chef's kiss. Two completely different approaches to desire, and I'm here for both.
Original storyline and very enjoyable.
This is by far the only book who made me spent bucks just to read every chapter all because I got hook every time the chapter ends. I really love the storyline, it makes look forward how the story would unfold in the next chapter and so on. I already cancelled my scheduled just to read this.

It was good and suspenseful but I was hoping for a little more details on the intimate parts. Just to make it seem more real. A lot of times, they were just glazed over.
