Thoroughly mediocre, and sub-par in some categories.Easy read, not a complicated story, turn brains off for plot holes, turn brains on for grammar.Let's start with the story. So far, there isn't much, but that is to be expected. The thing that drives me insane is the brokenness of the gacha. It's just a way to give the MC the stuff he needs. It's always rare, great, epic or needed. Herbs won't grow in the dungeon? don't worry, the next gacha will fix that. Want to start smithing? The gacha giveth. Unlimited materials? The gacha has your back. MC should make a shrine to the gacha and the dungeon core. Sorry, but I really hate some kind of plot device that constantly gives the MC whatever he needs at the moment for virtually no cost or effort.Speaking of the dungeon core, she is a non-character. No personality except exceptionally timid. You don't see, hear or notice her at all until she is required to pass on a message or as comic relief. Same for Kuro. The bandits need a course in Banditry 101. The most interesting quirky one was a passing adventurer. The MC dungeon master, Mr Ghost, hasn't shown much personality either except 'grandfatherly' towards a young boy. The boy's guards should be executed for being too stupid too. Mr Ghost will manage all skills. He will smith, do alchemy, fight with sword, spear, bow and magic and basically be everything this story needs and do everything that needs doing.... Right.There is no info on what a dungeon is or does, no feeling for their place in the world. Either it's something that will come up later, or it is assumed you have read similar novels before. So far, no world building.It was updating regularly until january.Finally, the writing. It's average for not very good non-native English. The sentences mostly make sense with no bad idiom, but the tenses are hopelessly mixed up. Even worse if the verb is also a noun, like a a walk / to walk. It appears the spell check the author is using is hopeless at that.
What would you get if you combine saiki kusuo's abilities + Reincarnation + Indian Iron age history + kingdom building = an amazingly entertaining and interesting story. Honestly I learned a lot about history and sometimes about science. A good plot and fine narration. A true hidden gem.

honestly i didnt have high hopes for this book, i was bored so i decided to give it a go. this is just awful. a game "descends" from a higher dimension, but still has the game mechanics from 90s and 00s. this is a vrmmo. it should have realism. not multi choice selections. also what guild is going to form within 5 minutes of a game starting? how are you gonna kill 700+ beasts in 10 minutes as a level 1-3, with no weapons and a basic spell? how is a new player suppose to buy a skills for 1,600 gold in the 1st 20 minutes of the game? how is a guild/union leader suppose to pay 70,000 gold so the MC doesnt kill him and his guild/union also within the 1st 20 minutes of the game. the flow of this book is all off.
I am a gamer, an old one, have played more than half my life, im 29. I like novel too, especially fantasy one. Be it slice of life, comedy, or plot and fanservice....This novel is one of the kind that i liked....But i only have to say one thing, about these kind of novel (the great thief, the strongest sword god etc etc)Can the "*******" toned down a bit?? I will be the emperor! Those who betray me dieee! Zzzzz.Seriously, it was just a game, you wont die for real, even if you do become emperor in game... It was still a frickin game, why do each and everyone acting like they truly become king and generals?? Before I say anything, I know when you write English words in Chinese they sound more than a little odd. But in an obviously western themed story, if the main characters name comes out as f@ck1ng RINC YOU SHOULD KNOW SOMETHING IS WRONG. I usually hate writing a review before release, the main reason being that a "review" has to review some actual content.Half of the so called, "reviews" on qidian are just asshats who read the blurb, and ONLY the blurb and go "wow this story is great/bad/rubbish/amazing"It just drives up the wall as THAT IS NOT WHAT A REVIEW IS. Godamn, good books are coming out with 3 stars because of dumb stuff like that. Fix your sh1t qi. *end of rantAnyways, I've read the tl of this book on another site and it was great. I've really enjoyed it and the translation was good and you could see the translater actively improving their skills. That's why I've rated most of this highly (giving the benefit of the doubt on release rate). As for translation quality... I've got some hopes, but not many. The synopsis is already showing how green the translator is. And it makes my heart pound with worry. Too many stories on qi have just been utterly mauled and ravaged by inept translators and editors that don't even improve over the course of SEVERAL HUNDRED Chapters.
