"I can say with certainty—the lettuce in your hand is not mine." This line. THIS LINE. Jiang Luokui didn't flinch. Didn't panic. Just looked at Manager Fang like he was a mildly amusing bug and dismantled his entire scheme with three sentences. What I love about her is how she handles Boss Zhao too. He's literally her COMPETITOR and he offers to DOUBLE her pay to work for him. And she says no. Just no. Not rude, not dramatic—just firm. She's not interested in being absorbed into someone else's operation. She's building her own thing. But the real moment for me was with Liang Quan. He's the one who defended her when Manager Fang started throwing shade. "Students are still just students. The crops they grow are unstable." And Liang Quan immediately pushed back. He tasted her vegetables, recognized the quality, and refused to let a corporate manager bully a kid over it. That's not just professional respect—that's genuine care. Their dynamic feels like an older mentor who actually shows up when it matters. And Wang Meng! Of course she's the one blowing up Jiang Luokui's phone about the scallion oil phenomenon. Best friend energy, always knowing when to send the gossip first. The author really knows how to make you root for these characters without making them perfect. Jiang Luokui is sharp but still figuring things out. Liang Quan is principled but also clearly has his own secrets. Manager Fang is a cartoon villain but in a way that's almost entertaining.

Really love this book more chapters Please!
It was a wonderful story of finding love. Joshua and Alice found each other, decided to become better people. Not all villians stories should end badly. Some are worth taking a chance on loving.
I was so looking for this story and you never disappointing Ms. Gupta... just wowwww
