Shameless review from the author here. This is a mix of sci-fi, superpowers and magic in a way I haven't seen before. Nice pacing, plot and character development. This is all original, which makes it even better. a 5/5.

Although there is some writing issues, the story is very good and has a lot of potential so I recommend whoever is reading this review to read the book.

Not really the type of story that I would enjoy. The 'system' is more of a minor cheat that offers a method to completely comprehend written techniques. It only allows the MC to learn techniques that are written down, drawn, or have some sort of visual que left over. Possibly sword scars would work. It does not allow him to learn techniques from watching someone perform it at least not so far. Explanations and lectures are also out. As far as it being a system, he gets a system window that gives him a record of his techniques and cultivation level. There is no menus or store functions. There is no interaction with it either except when he is able to merge two techiques. So I would just call it a cheat with a visual que.
As for story development it starts with the MC captured by bandits and fortunately finds some sort of scribbling on the wall of his cell that provides him a couple of low level techniques. This allows him to slowly overcome the bandits by luring individuals to the prison.
The story seems to be about how the MC is trying to acquire more techniques or higher level techniques. He goes to bookstores looking for books that will trigger his progress bar. He finds a woman with a tattoo that triggers it as well.
I ended up skimming through it because it just did not excite me much. There did not seem to be much draw mentally for me.
If you’re a fan of slow paced levelling where the author is deliberately slowing his leveling then this is the novel for you.
Because spoiler alert the mc is somehow still level 15 after 250 chapters and doesn’t bother levelling up even after being told that his entire planet is gonna be invaded by 8 different civilisation.
The monologues are annoying and long winded, the author can spend 100 chapters to tell the same story he did in 250 but he’s milking the viewers as greedy webnovel authors usually do.
There’s also a lot of useless info dumps and a dumb and plot armor childhoof GF that acts like an 8 year old child that’s being burdened by the MC as if he’s looking after a handicapped child.
Basically the first 50 chapters where interesting but the author managed to somehow turn this novel into fillers slow pace where 1 day in the story is 3 months of waiting for the reader untill the chapters release
